I recently visited Tandoor House at Lake Market and honestly, it was a satisfying experience—especially if you're someone who enjoys flavorful kebabs and biryani without spending too much. The place has a very old-school, nostalgic charm to it. The interior feels a bit retro, and although the space isn’t very big, it’s quite cozy and welcoming. It’s the kind of place where you feel comfortable grabbing a quick bite with friends or even having a quiet solo lunch. I ordered their many of combos there, and all was pretty impressive. The kebabs were soft, juicy, and had this smoky garlic flavor that stayed with me. The biryani was well-cooked and aromatic—not overly spicy, just right. The portion size was more than enough for one person, and the price felt very reasonable for the quantity and taste. However, I have to mention that the waiting time was a bit longer. The place was full, so I guess that’s understandable, but if you're in a hurry, it might not be ideal. Also, I’ve heard from a few people that the food quality sometimes varies—thankfully, my visit was a good one. In short, if you're around Kalighat or Lake Market and want flavourful North Indian or Mughlai-style food on a budget, Tandoor House is definitely worth a visit.
