This restaurant, if I recall correctly, started in 2018 with just Idly on the menu. Over time, they have expanded their offerings to include Vada, Pongal, Kaara Bath, Rice bath and Kesari Bath. The Idly here is exceptionally soft, unlike many other places where it tends to be hard—this is what makes SV Idly special. The pricing is reasonable, and even the packing charges are fair. I’ve known the owner since 2018, and his attitude has remained consistently warm and welcoming. Many in the restaurant business start off friendly but change over time—becoming less cooperative or even rude. But this owner? He’s just as polite and welcoming as he was in 2018, always greeting customers with the same warm smile. Found a cockroach in the food. Ordered multiple times from same outlet in the past, but faced this issue first time. Zomato as well as Restaurant owner should be looking into it with utmost seriousness.

A hole-in-the-wall Idli restaurant in Basavanagar, SV Idli House makes soft nicely textured idlis and two types of Chutney to go along with it. Their Idli, Vada, Ambode are very fresh and with great taste. They also serve Kesaribath, Pulav and Upma. Fantastic place to eat at, and order from. Must visit when you're in the area.
