But the entire experience was overshadowed by the behavior of the staff—especially in the air-conditioned hall. We had our meal upstairs, as it’s more budget-friendly there, and then came downstairs to enjoy a coffee before our train. The hall was almost empty, with only two tables occupied. After we finished our coffee, the waiter came over and directly asked us to leave, saying we were “done” and not ordering anything else. He started arguing with us and insisted that we leave, even though the hall was far from full. It felt very unpleasant. He clearly didn’t like the fact that we had eaten upstairs and then moved downstairs for coffee. But honestly—we could’ve had lunch anywhere, even at home, and then come here just for coffee. Why should that be a problem? We ordered, we paid—both for food and drinks. We didn’t sit for free. That’s still business. To make things worse, the waiter stood uncomfortably close to us the entire time, which made it difficult to relax. We also saw another table leave without tipping, and the waiter checked the book and then threw it back on the table in frustration. I understand it’s disappointing, but guests are watching—and that kind of behavior ruins the atmosphere. With staff like this, unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend the place. Hopefully, the management will pay attention to the service, because the restaurant really does have potential. Had an amazing dining experience at Sunrise Restaurant near Ahmedabad Railway Station! Punjabi Thali customized to my taste, was absolutely delectable. The friendly staff and cozy atmosphere made it even better. Whether you prefer AC or non-AC seating, they've got you covered, all at affordable prices. If you're nearby and in the mood for some delicious food served with a smile, make sure to check it out. Highly recommend for both lunch and dinner!
