I'm from Kolkata and my wife is from Ashoknagar. It was my wife's birthday. So, I ordered a " Birthday Special Thaali" for her and it was customised as per my choice of foods from the menu and celebrated her birthday at her place. Though they have a set menu of every thaali but one can customised that as per his/her requirements. I ordered 14 items including water (500ml.), cold drink (200 ml.) and hajmola. Rest of the menu was plain rice (banshkathi), dal, 4 types of different fried vegetables, fried ruhi fish (1pc.), telapia fish curry (1pc.), galda prawn malaikari (2pcs.), basanti polao, chicken kasha (2pcs), chatni, papad, kalakand (2pcs.). These all come in a reasonable price and if you consider the complete thaali then the quantity of the foods are sufficient for two people. Foods are really tasty. Mr. Suman is a very nice person and his hospitality is quite remarkable. I'm genuinely happy with his services. I definitely suggest you all, must visit Suman restaurant to have some delicious foods in a pocket friendly budget and thank me later.
