**Title: Rain, Hunger & a Royal Surprise at Sultan’s Veedu!** Our experiences with food in Kerala *mostly go well* — it’s honestly hard to go wrong here. Whether it's a fancy hotel or a random thattukada with three chairs and a cat, you usually get something soul-satisfying. But today? Today was *unexpectedly legendary*. We’ve passed by **Sultan’s Veedu** a hundred times, always saying “Next time, maybe.” But today the rain came down like a cinematic plot twist, and we thought — why not now? We entered mildly drenched, borderline hangry, and suspicious. Five minutes later, we were questioning why we hadn’t walked in here every single time we passed by. **Idiyappam**? Soft as clouds, fresh as gossip in a village WhatsApp group. The **paneer-veg gravy** was humble and tasty — like it was cooked by someone’s mom with love, not a robot chef on spice steroids. The **chicken 65** had just the right crunch, no red dye drama, and enough flavour to make our taste buds do a mini flash mob. **Tea and coffee**? Absolute comfort in a cup. They didn’t try to overdo it with froth or hipster presentation — just solid, home-style brews that said, “Relax, we got you.” Now the **mango juice** deserves its own award. Thick, pulpy, and suspiciously real — like they skipped the syrup factory and went straight to hugging a mango tree. Ten out of ten, would drink and dribble again. Parking? Slightly panic-inducing in the front — one wrong move and you're the village entertainment. But pro tip: there's *more parking at the back*. We found it late, like plot twist in a Malayalam movie, but at least we found it. Service was chill, no drama, no over-smiling waiters reciting menus like Shakespeare. Just friendly people bringing you hot food while you dry off and question your life choices (like why didn’t we come here before?). **In short:** This place delivers big joy with small dishes. Rain, roadside, random stop — *Sultan’s Veedu* turned a normal day into a royal feast. Highly recommend. Go hungry, leave happy. And for heaven’s sake, don’t wait for it to rain to discover this gem. Sultan’s Veedu — you got us. We’re fans now. Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I had ordered one Paneer Butter Masala and wheat parotta. Unfortunately, the paneer was like plain milk, and the taste of the curry was far below average. The service was also very poor. I sincerely request the cook of this restaurant to taste the same dish from Al Saj Kitchen in Thottumugham, Aluva, or any other reputed restaurant to understand how it should be prepared and how it should taste. Please do not cheat the public by serving substandard food and offering poor service. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

I had a fantastic lunch experience at Sulthan Veedu Restaurant on March 17th, 2024. I tried their prawn biryani and karimeen fry, and both dishes were incredibly flavorful. Authentic Kerala Flavors: The prawn biryani was prepared in a traditional Kerala style, bursting with rich spices and perfectly cooked prawns. The karimeen fry was absolutely delicious - the fish was crispy on the outside and melt-in-your-mouth tender on the inside. A real taste sensation! Upscale Experience: While the pricing leans towards the higher end, the quality of the food and the overall dining experience justify the cost. The restaurant offers a pleasant ambience that complements the delicious food. Overall Impression: Sulthan Veedu Restaurant is a great choice for anyone seeking authentic Kerala cuisine. The food was exceptional, and the service was attentive. While the price point might be a bit higher, the quality of the experience makes it worthwhile. Highly recommend!
