So I recently visited this place. At first, I thought it would be ordinary and that charging this much wouldn't be worth the hype. Also, the reservation system looked too messy. Everyone stood in line like an assembly and got their reservation done, but if we overlook that. The food was super good. They served different tasty, authentic Maharashtrian dishes which were too good. And the best part was that it was unlimited. Aamras was the showstopper. I would go again for this kind of food, and it was worth the money. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹400–600 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian

If you're looking to experience the old charm of Pune through food, this iconic thali restaurant is a must-visit. Known for its simplicity and authentic flavors, the place offers a delightful mix of Maharashtrian and Gujarati dishes. The menu changes slightly every day, keeping things fresh while staying true to its roots. Their Aamras Festival is especially popular and draws loyal patrons year after year—don’t miss it if you're visiting during the season! The food isn’t spicy or flashy; it’s comforting, home-style fare that satisfies the soul. The hospitality is another highlight—staff are warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Be prepared for a bit of a wait on weekends, but it's definitely worth it. A lovely spot to slow down and savour tradition. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Sukanta Thali is a paradise for food lovers, offering a delightful spread of traditional Indian dishes. From the moment you step in, the aroma of freshly prepared food and the lively atmosphere set the tone for a satisfying meal. The restaurant operates on a thali system, where a variety of dishes are served on a single platter, ensuring a wholesome dining experience. The food was absolutely delicious, with each item prepared to perfection. The Sitaphal Rabdi was the highlight of the meal—rich, creamy, and bursting with flavor. The thali included a mix of curries, vegetables, dal, rotis, farsan, chutneys, and sweets, making it a well-balanced meal. Every dish was flavorful, and the quality of ingredients was evident in the taste. Hygiene standards were well maintained, and the staff was prompt in serving and refilling dishes. The restaurant has two floors, and during peak hours, all seats were occupied. Due to the high demand, there can be a long waiting time, and customers need to collect coupons from an outside counter before getting a seat. The pricing is ₹498 per person, which is reasonable considering the variety and quality of food offered. Parking can be a challenge, as there is no dedicated parking for four-wheelers. However, you might find some space on the roadside for two-wheelers. Overall, Sukanta Thali is a must-visit for anyone craving an authentic and fulfilling meal. Be prepared for a wait, but rest assured, the food is worth it!
