I recently placed an order for a Veg Toastie from the Ahmedabad/harmony icon branch Subway, attracted by the option to choose my preferred bread and one sauce. Unfortunately, when I called to confirm, I was told that they only use pre-cut, half-loaves that have been stored from earlier in the day and that they couldn’t make my order as advertised. Feeling misled by the menu descriptions and disappointed by the rigid policy, I had no choice but to cancel. Clear communication about ingredient availability and adherence to advertised options are basic expectations for any food service. I hope Subway reviews this practice so other customers aren’t left confused or inconvenienced. At a minimum, the online menu should reflect what’s actually offered, or staff should be empowered to fulfill the choices shown.
