I recently visited Sri Saravana Bhavan Vegetarian Hotel with my family for dinner, and unfortunately, it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences we have had in a long time. Right from the moment we entered, the hygiene and cleanliness of the restaurant were questionable. The handwash area was in a very poor condition, with water spilled all over the floor, making it unsafe and unpleasant to use. To make matters worse, the plate trolley and drinking water tank were kept right next to the washroom and handwash section. This arrangement clearly shows a lack of concern for basic hygiene standards, which is very discouraging for anyone who expects a clean dining environment. Coming to the food, it was equally unsatisfactory. We ordered battura, ghee roast, porotta, and kuthu porotta. The dosa that was served to us had a sour taste, which clearly indicated it was not fresh. The battura was rubbery in texture, making it almost impossible to enjoy. The kuthu porotta was excessively spicy and overloaded with masala to the point that it was inedible. Even though we tried, we could not finish even half of the food that was served. For a restaurant that claims to specialize in vegetarian South Indian dishes, the quality was far below basic expectations. Overall, both the cleanliness and the quality of food were completely unsatisfactory. Dining out is supposed to be a pleasant experience, but here it turned into disappointment and frustration. I would not recommend this place to anyone who values hygiene, taste, or quality service. Food: 1 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 1
