During a recent visit to a Southa, we had a mix of hits and misses with the food and overall experience. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the coconut uttapam. It was light, fluffy, and delicately infused with coconut, offering a unique twist to the traditional dish. However, the Mysore masala dosa didn’t quite meet our expectations. While the filling had a good balance of flavors, the dosa lacked the crisp texture typically associated with this iconic dish. The rava dosa, though well-presented, was overly salty, which took away from its appeal. The ambiance of the restaurant was charming. The staff, dressed in traditional South Indian attire, added an authentic touch, and the aesthetic crockery elevated the dining experience. However, the service could have been more attentive, and the overall taste didn’t quite justify the hype. If you're looking for a place with a touch of South Indian culture and some unique options like coconut uttapam, it might be worth a try. However, there’s room for improvement in terms of consistency in flavors and seasoning.
