Slolabs Calicut has to be one of the best cafés I have EVER visited. The food we had was spectacular in taste and presentation. Over the course of 3 visits I tried the Kalamansi mango, tres leches (mango and the traditional) , Chicken Kanthari quiche, Slow cooked beef croissant, Mushroom meatball frittata with focaccia bread, Banoffee french toast, Matcha Latte and the spiced White Chocolate Cappuccino. What I would recommend for a first time visit ? You cannot go wrong with anything pastry or bread based here. Everything is exactly as it is supposed to be- flaky or fluffy when required. My personal 10/10’s would be the Kalamansi Mango , Chicken Kanthari quiche, Mushroom Meatball frittata and the Banoffee French Toast. The ceremonial grade Matcha Latte is made with oat milk and French Vanilla without additional cost which is such a plus for me as other places charge extra for this. The staff were also very courteous and friendly and made the whole experience that much better. There is also ample parking space. I am hoping you can open a branch in Kochi ASAP!! SloLabs by Cafficana had really beautiful interiors and a great ambience overall. It’s the kind of place where you can comfortably chill, work, or just hang out for a long time. The space was huge with plenty of seating, and almost every corner looked pretty and aesthetically done. The desserts were really good, especially the Bilis au Chocolat, and the iced Spanish latte was super yum too. Overall, it’s a really nice spot for both work and casual hangouts.
