A Truly Transformative Ayurvedic Experience at Sitaram Ayurvedic Retreat, Thrissur I had been planning my visit to Sitaram Ayurvedic Retreat throughout 2024, exchanging short WhatsApp messages with queries with the reservation team who were always kind and helpful and responsive. From the very first moment I arrived, I felt genuinely welcomed by Mr. Krishna & Binisha and the wonderfully professional Aromal at the reception who works the night shift, attentive and efficient, their warmth instantly put me at ease. My healing journey was lovingly guided by Dr. Arjun and Dr. Gayathri. So grateful for them both. Therapists Sindu and Nayana, under the caring eye of Ms. Sunanda and her amazing team of around 50 dedicated staff ensured every treatment felt personal and nurturing, and I truly felt cared for at every step. The housekeeping team, led by Ms. Sheeja with Mini and Usha, went above and beyond to make my Luxury Cottage room feel special, I was delighted by the beautiful towel art they created daily little touches that made me smile and feel at home after my treatments. Iben and Babu were always around to lend a helping hand whenever I needed. The gardens, tended with such care by gardener Balan and his team, provided peaceful green views that added so much calm to my days. And the kitchen team under Chef Prasanth (who works tirelessly with his team ensuring nutritious meals to heal our gut) Vishnu, Sanjay, Nikhil, and Abhijith deserves a special mention. Every meal was thoughtfully prepared with love and care, balancing nutrition and taste perfectly. I truly believe healing begins from the gut, and their delicious food nourished me inside and out. I also cherished my walks on the beach, On occasion sharing brief but lovely conversations with Venugopal from security, these simple moments made my stay feel even more personal and warm. In just a few days at Sitaram, I felt a deep sense of healing and peace. The pristine beach, sound of the waves, memorable sunsets and the genuine smiles and heartfelt care from every single person are what make this retreat so special. If I could, I’d name every member of the team because each one plays a vital role in creating such a loving, supportive environment. I’m already looking forward to coming back next Karkadagom. If you’re seeking true Ayurvedic healing and a place where you’re treated like family, Sitaram is the place to be.

Looking for an Ayurvedic retreat and booked a consultation to see the level of Ayurvedic care and prepare for a potential stay. The person who consulted with me was actually frowning at me and I felt so uncomfortable during our short 20 min conversation. I decided to write her to express regret for perhaps something I did to displease her during the consult. She did not provide a plan of care, (actually I did not expect one after the way she treated me), but she did respond to my email with a list of herbals, oils and such for me to order in excess of $500 with no instructions on how to take these medications. This is not the care I expect. I will not spend over $10,000 and travel over 8000 miles to be treated badly at this resort.

I had an unforgettable experience at Sitaram Beach Retreat. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with such kindness and care by every single person—from the amazing doctors, who thoughtfully guided my healing journey, to the warm and attentive staff at the restaurant and reception. Dr. Arjun is incredibly knowledgeable, and all it takes is asking a few questions to uncover Ayurvedic insight. Dr. Shibina, must be an angel—she radiates the most extraordinary patience I have ever encountered. The team in the treatment rooms goes far beyond just delivering therapies—they truly care for both your body and soul. The retreat itself is a sanctuary of peace and beauty. The accommodations are comfortable and calming, perfectly designed to support rest and rejuvenation. The proximity to the ocean adds a magical quality—you fall asleep and wake up to the sound of waves, which enhances the overall healing atmosphere. Every detail, from the Ayurvedic treatments to the meals, was handled with such attention and compassion. The food was nourishing, delicious, and prepared with such care—it felt like every meal was a continuation of the healing process.
