This restaurant comes as an attachment to the hotel – very compact and purposeful. The menu card is elaborate and categorised. However, more than a good half of what was on paper wasn’t available in the kitchen. Had asked for Khasta roti and khajuri naan along with Cheese Angoori. I was told only roti/plain naan is available. The attender artfully ducked the request and in a way enforced that I have butter naan and cheese kaju butter masala.

That was not a happy beginning as a customer. The food arrived very quickly, half dozen pieces of butter naan - very thinly prepared, along with cheese kaju masala. The naan was appreciable but it was the curry that blew me away – in a good way. It was a butter masala mix definitely but in a strong kaju base. The cashew flavour was more than there and was a pleasant feeling. But it was the cheese that took me by surprise. The cubes of cheese were placed in the masala and allowed to melt in the heat of it.

What resulted, was a super thick gravy of kaju masala with cheese boxes that melt when you take a bite. In the end, the naan-cheese masala combo was good and the lunch experience a memorable one.
