We’ve been to this place quite a few times, and it continues to deliver in terms of quality and consistency. Here's a quick breakdown of what we had this time:Soups:* Chicken Manchow Soup – Really good! Packed with flavor. Rating: 5/5* Cream of Mushroom – Slightly different from the usual versions, but pleasantly so. Creamy and well made. Rating: 4/5* Chicken Burnt Garlic Soup – This was a miss for us. Clear broth, but lacked depth and flavor. Rating: 2/5Main Course:* Paneer Rara Masala – Flavorful and rich, great with naan. Rating: 4/5* Methi Chicken – Slightly different from regular gravies, but the taste was nice and distinct. Rating: 4/5* Chicken Peshawari – Extremely flavorful, though on the spicier side. Spice lovers will enjoy this! Rating: 3/5Desserts:* Caramel Custard – Decent, but not something we’d go back for. Rating: 3/5* Malai Slice Ice Cream – Simple and satisfying. Rating: 4/5* Gajar ka Halwa - Was average 2.5/5 * Honey Noodles with Ice Cream – Crunchy, sweet, and nicely done. Rating: 4/5Quantity was decent, and food quality overall was good.A special shoutout to Michael Gomes, our captain for the evening – very courteous, gave us great suggestions, and ensured we had a comfortable dining experience. Truly appreciate the thoughtful service.Overall: A dependable place for a relaxed family dinner. We’ll definitely be back again!

It has been more than twenty years since I first visited Silver Coin Family Restaurant and Bar with my family, and it continues to remain a special place for us in Borivali. It is one of those restaurants in Borivali that continues to feel like home because of its food and hospitality. This time, we began our meal with a bowl of Chicken Manchow Soup. It was served hot, and I enjoyed how it had a bold, flavorful taste without being overpowering. For starters, we ordered Veg Seekh Kebab, Mutton Seekh Kebab, and Chicken Pahadi Tikka. The Veg Seekh Kebab was nice, cooked well, and had the perfect earthy flavour. The Mutton Seekh Kebab was outstanding. It had a silky texture, was well-seasoned, and paired beautifully with the chutney. It was not chewy at all, and I really liked how smooth it felt with every bite. The Chicken Pahadi Tikka was equally good. The chicken was tender, juicy, and cooked with a light smokiness that made it enjoyable. For the mains, I ordered Jeera Rice with Dal Tadka. The dal had a nice garlic tempering with the right amount of cumin, and together with the rice it felt wholesome and comforting. The Chicken Tikka Masala came with soft pieces of chicken in a thick gravy that had a good balance of spices. It went really well with the Tandoori Roti, which was crisp on the edges and soft in the middle. The Chicken Triple Schezwan Fried Rice was the last dish. It was mildly spiced, had a smoky taste from the wok, and the flavours were balanced in a way that made it enjoyable till the last bite. As we were about to finish, we couldn’t resist ordering the Chicken Masala Lollipop, which has always been a family favorite. It was crispy, spicy, and coated beautifully with sauce. It was the highlight of the evening. The chicken inside was fresh and well-cooked, and every bite reminded me why I have loved this dish here for years. The food at Silver Coin Family Restaurant and Bar is consistently good, and the staff make the experience even better. They are polite, attentive, and always welcoming. This restaurant is more of a family place, and the presence of a bar only adds to the variety without taking away from its warm atmosphere.
