Seif palace restaurant in Manipal is located beside Manipal Mosque.Started around 12-14 years.It is a Malayali Muslim based restaurant serving Malabar dishes where staffs are mostly from Calicut or Malappuram regions. Dishes include Puttu with kadala(chickpeas) curry,Appam,Malabar parotta etc In lunch they provide Kerala meals which includes boiled rice,Avial, Pickle,Fish curry,Shemiya Payasam,Papad and 2 other dishes.Snacks include pazhampori(banana fritters). They also have kattan chai aka Sulaimani chai. I tried kerala meals for ₹ 60 here.Almost everything was tasty.I literally like Shemiya Payasam which is quite different where they add raw banana pieces which gives superb taste.
