Dining at Samudhra Restaurant with my family was an experience that beautifully captured the rich essence of Kerala’s coastal cuisine. We opted for the non-vegetarian Kerala thali, and from the very first bite, it was evident that this restaurant takes both authenticity and quality seriously. The ambiance was inviting, the staff courteous, and the meal itself was a delightful journey through Kerala’s traditional flavours. The thali arrived neatly plated, featuring an impressive variety of dishes — from spicy curries to tangy accompaniments — that showcased the region’s distinct culinary character. The highlight of our meal was undoubtedly the karimeen fish fry. Perfectly cooked, the fish had a crisp, golden exterior that gave way to tender, flavorful flesh seasoned beautifully with a blend of coastal spices. The aroma itself was irresistible. Equally commendable was the Squid fry, prepared to perfection — soft inside and coated with a well-balanced masala that had just the right kick of heat. The portion size of the thali was generous, offering more than enough for a satisfying meal without feeling excessive. Each element — the rice, sambhar, rasam, moru curry, and side dishes — complemented one another harmoniously. The use of fresh coconut and curry leaves lent an unmistakable Kerala touch to every bite. My family thoroughly enjoyed the combination of flavors and textures, from the mildly spiced curries to the crispy papad and tangy pickles that completed the meal. Service was commendably quick and efficient. The staff were attentive without being intrusive, ensuring that our plates were always full and water glasses never empty. In a busy restaurant setting, the speed and coordination of the service stood out as a major plus. Overall, the lunch at Samudhra felt like a wholesome coastal feast — one that balanced tradition, taste, and hospitality perfectly. It’s a place I’d gladly recommend to anyone looking to experience authentic Kerala seafood and thali meals. We left with happy stomachs and the feeling that we’d found a restaurant worthy of many future visits. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹400–600

Pepper chicken was awful. Pic shown and item served has no connection. And the taste... tomato soup was a better option
