Once the promenade around the Assi Ghat is over, visit ROOT Restaurant and River Club. The menu of this restaurant is recommended to Chinese and Indian cuisine lovers. ROOT Restaurant and River Club boasts nicely cooked paneer, rolls and mac-n-cheese. Take your chance to taste great cappuccino or delicious cold coffee.
There is a beautiful view from this place. The staff is accommodating that's what makes this spot so good. People say that the service is professional here. You are to be pleasantly impressed with fair prices at this restaurant. The pretty ambiance has been noted by the clients. But ROOT Restaurant and River Club hasn't gained a high rating from Google users.
Overlooking the Ganges, the owners have tried to give the place a very cool and chill-out look and have been quite successful at that. A two storey eating joint with a green space in front and Ganges on its backyard is as beautiful a place as you would want it to be. Root is a multi cuisine veg only restaurant mainly serving Indian, Continental and the omni present Chinese. Food is decent, staff is cordial and quite hospitable. Maintenance and cleanliness is very good and location is exceptional.
We tried Cheese Croquettes, Peri Peri Paneer, Cheesy Dim sum, Tandoori Dim sum, Cheese Sandwich, Hakka Noodles, Chilly Paneer Gravy and Tandoori Chai. Peri Peri Paneer, Cheesy Dim Sum needs special mention, though Chilly Paneer and Tandoori Chai was a disappointment.
My recommendation is the place is exceptionally good to chill out with friends and/or family during wintry afternoon and a breezy summary evening, with decent food and good music. So, head out and enjoy...
