Yesterday evening felt a bit dull, so we set out to explore new food options and found ourselves at Kunjir Chowk in Pimple Saudagar. There it was—Punjabi Amritsari Kulcha. The name itself is enough to attract food lovers! Without much thought, we parked the bike and headed in. Our Order: One Punjabi Thali and Chole Bhature. The thali included Malai Paneer, Dal Makhani, Butter Roti, Jeera Rice, and Gulab Jamun for dessert. The second order was Chole Bhature—let’s see what we got! Taste and Experience: Chole Bhature – 4/5 Within five minutes of ordering, piping hot Chole Bhature was served! The bhature were soft and slightly thick but not greasy at all. The chole had that perfect Amritsari flavor—spicy and packed with taste. Enjoyed every bite! However, the bhature could’ve been lighter for a perfect score. Punjabi Thali – 2.5/5 The thali was a bit disappointing. The Malai Paneer was okay, but the Dal Makhani was burnt! Upon bringing it to the staff’s notice, they immediately apologized and asked if we wanted something else. We then ordered thick ghar-style dal, which was excellent. The Butter Roti was soft, and both the Jeera Rice and Gulab Jamun were spot on! The dal and rice combo was delightful. Don’t miss the green chili pickle they serve—it’s quite unique and flavorful! Price and Service: All this for just ₹338! Very reasonable, and the staff was courteous. The wide road ensures there’s no issue with two-wheeler parking. Overall Verdict: A kabhie khushi kabhie gham experience. Chole Bhature was great, but the thali needs improvement. Worth trying once!
