If you are looking for pure, hygienic, and affordable vegetarian food (specifically Sattvic - no onion, no garlic), Premvati is an excellent choice. It is less of a "restaurant" and more of a "Prasad" experience where food is cooked with devotion. 1. Food Quality & Taste. The USP of Premvati is Purity. Taste Profile: The food is "Swaminarayan Style"—meaning no onion and no garlic. Despite this, the taste is surprisingly rich. The spices are balanced, leaning slightly towards the sweeter/milder side (typical Gujarati influence), but many savory items like Chole and Pav Bhaji are spicy enough. Popular Items: Swaminarayan Khichdi: Often considered the best item on the menu. It is comforting, loaded with ghee, and very flavorful. Chole Bhature / Puri: The Chole is thick and flavorful even without onion-garlic gravy. Fast Food: They serve Indian-style Pizza, Burgers, and Dabeli. 2. Hygiene & Cleanliness. Standard: Cleanliness is usually impeccable. The kitchens are often visible or open-style, and the staff wears caps and gloves. Dining Area: The tables are cleaned frequently, though during weekends or festivals, it can get a bit messy due to the high volume of crowds. 3. Ambiance & Atmosphere. Vibe: It is very casual and functional. Do not expect a fine-dining candlelight dinner vibe. It is a large hall with simple tables and chairs. Crowd: It is usually bustling with families and devotees. It can get noisy and crowded on Sundays or holidays. Spiritual Touch: You will often hear soft Kirtan or Bhajans playing in the background, which adds to the peaceful atmosphere despite the crowd. 4. Service. Self-Service: Almost all Premvati locations operate on a Self-Service model. You pay at the counter, get a coupon, and collect your food from the respective counters. Speed: Service is generally fast, but lines for the billing counter can get long during peak hours. 5. Price & Value for Money Affordability: Highly affordable. You can easily have a full meal for ₹150–₹250 per person. Portion Size: Portions are generous and filling. Cons / Things to Keep in Mind No Onion/Garlic: If you are a die-hard fan of pungent garlic/onion flavors, you might find the taste a bit different (though still tasty). Crowds: Avoid Sunday evenings if you hate waiting in queues. Limited Vegan Options: While vegetarian, many items use dairy (Ghee, Butter, Paneer), so vegans need to ask specifically (though many fasting/farali items might be suitable). Highly Recommended For: Families looking for a clean budget meal. People fasting (they have great Farali options like Sabudana Khichdi). Anyone who loves simple, home-style Indian vegetarian food. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹400–600 Recommended dishes: Manchurian, Swaminarayan Khichdi, Jini Role Dhosa Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Menu is all vegetarian Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot Kid-friendliness: Unlike typical "thali" places that might be boring for kids, Premvati serves a "Swaminarayan" version of popular fast foods. You can find: Fast Food: Pizza, Burgers, Dabeli, and Sandwiches (all without onion/garlic, making them milder and easier for kids to eat). Snacks: French Fries, Puff, and Manchurian (dry/gravy).

Visited Premvati Upahar Gruh recently. The food was average and didn’t have much taste, but the natural, simple style was nice. Their farali options are good. Service was a bit slow, and we waited longer than expected. Decent for a quick lunch, but not a standout dining experience.
