Prema Vilas is a sweet shop located diagonally opposite Madurai Railway ststion. Like any other sweet shop, they have regular staple but one variety that stands out is Halwa. Priced at Rs 14, fifty grams of halwa is served on Banana leaf pipping hot. Halwa is also available in 250 gms packet at Rs 65. People who are traveling from Madurai buy these as soviners. The shop is open from 4 AM in the morning.
