horrible got parcel of grilled prawns, I have ate grilled prawns many times but these were blend not properly grilled and fillet fish again half cooked because of that feel like vomiting... there were many items on the menu but most of them are not available most of the times... And the biggest irony was both the items above mentioned above were suggested by the representative s there
Because I sea food and eat it too, a place dedicated to prawns called out for a visit. A quick perusal of the menu before heading there and I was like "Wow! Now this is what being spoilt for choices probably means". But alas! Once you reach there and place your orders is when you realise why you are warned against judging by the cover. In this case, the menu.
Don't go by the menu because for all that it promises, only a few are available. So reached here around 7.30ish one evening, all prepped to dig into some starters that I had my eyes on. Nothing really of an ambiance - just around 4 tables. But the place could really do with some cleanliness - tables hadn't been cleared. And to place an order, you gotta yell for the man who is beyond and not behind the counter.
So asked for butter--prawn, told was not available. Same with nuke-a-prawn. So had to settle for skew-a-prawn. Thought would taste this before ordering further because I detest the prawns tasting frozen and being "blubbery". And ordered some chilli garlic potato pops for the veggie friend.
And the prawns came - six on a stick and served with some mayo. They had a lovely spicy coating but then it's always about how the insides are cooked - not very well and the prawns were chewy. Happens when you fry fish coated with spices at home (the coating cooks first) but prawns don't taste great half-cooked. Needless to say, appetite lost. The veg pops tasted better actually.
