If you're looking for simple, homely, and healthy food, this place is a must-visit! The ambiance is clean and well-maintained, and the service is quick and efficient. The owner is extremely polite and humble, adding to the welcoming experience. I tried the jolad roti, junka, kaal palle, rice with sambar, and chutney, and everything was fresh, light, and flavorful. Perfect for those who prefer non-masala, mildly spiced, home-style meals. Definitely worth trying if you're craving wholesome and nourishing food! There are some places that retain the old world charm despite sea of changes around it. Prabhu Khanavali is one such place in Dharwad. Its Located in the court circle area and directly opposite to the BRTS bus stop. The swanky bus stop is in stark contrast to this hotel. This hotel serves the North Karnataka fare and is pure vegetarian. The entrance directly leads to the cashier, and it clearly suggests that its a pay first and eat later concept. We decided to order the jowar roti meal, which consists of 3 jowar roti and two different vegetables along with curd and raita and fresh salad. They also add groundnut powder and chutney and some additional snack. You can also choose to go with 2 rotis and rice combo. Rice is unlimited. Extra roti will cost you an extra 10rs and I would suggest that go for as much as you can hog. The seating is not the most comfortable but once you get the food on the table, the only thing you care about is repeating the food and pickles. The service is pretty fast as well. Good place to have great food.
