Had an excellent time at Pousada by the beach once again….my kids and I love the time we spend there…wonderful ambience; colourful chats with owner Neville and his son Zoran’s great drinks! They remember all our favorite items from previous trips and it feels such a great homecoming every time we go and quite happily we pass other restaurants to be at Pousada…..The ocean breeze, the sounds of the ocean; excellent food, the sunset and views and our favorite dogs, Chai, Peanut, Biscuit Jr and Zeus are just a joy to hang out with. It feels like a continuation to a very nice and quiet section of the beach in Calangute area just steps outside Pousada….simply put it’s paradise! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹1,000–1,200 Recommended dishes: Fish in Banana Leaf, Prawn Curry, Seafood, Prawns Peri Peri, French Fries, Seafood Rice, Fish Balchao Vegetarian options: Delicious vegetarian options contrary to typical impressions about Goan food Dietary restrictions: They will customize if need be or recommend options to accommodate the needs Kid-friendliness: Very safe and child friendly…they can play on the sand play area or with the dogs and have pasta and ice cream to their hearts content!

NEVER VISIT THIS MEDIOCRE PLACE WHERE YOU GET HORRIBLE FOOD.
Actually our dog (shiro) liked the food but vomited there only. Owner ( CHAI) got furious and started yelling at us like a mad person and he started using abusive language. We paid money even our order wasn’t delivered. Maybe owner will get richer by making money like this.

I really feel pity on the owner named CHAI and his family that these guys don’t have courage to take the genuine feedback positively…..they need to grow up and should try to utilise their time in serving good food with good manners instead of taking every negative comment personally. Their weird reply on every negative comment and personal messaging with abusive language shows their mental sickness.
May god give them some wisdom. I am not sure why this restaurant (if it should be called that considering what was served to us can’t be called food) has high ratings. Food was below average and service was pathetic. You’d think they charge highly because they offer something you can’t find elsewhere, but that is not the case! The location is mediocre to begin with, it isn’t like a shack, it’s located offset from the main beach so there’s no “shack-beachy” feeling you come to goa for.
Each and every dish is highly priced which we had no problem paying for considering we knew what the minimum spend was per person when walking in. But the point that arises is whether or not its worth it? A BIG NO. imagine you pay Rs.500 for a milkshake and it’s taste doesn’t match your expectations. This is what your experience will be like over here. Walk a few miles away and you’ll find food 50 times better with a staff that will respect you. There is a difference between price and worth which they really need to learn. We went to Pisco by the beach, prices higher than here, but were so delighted by their services and food that we were happy to pay the bill and tip.
Try telling the owner the same and the response you will get is nothing short of disrespectful. The owner was rude, arrogant and blind to his own issues. He needs to learn the hospitality basics if he wishes to have his joint open for longer. Had it been in my hands I would’ve given negative ratings but there is no option as such. Therefore I write this review to make sure others who read this don’t waste a meal they could’ve had at a lovely place and end up going here. The place will only add to ruining your holiday.
