And upscale beach restaurant run by Neville and family. I would solely recommend Goan food here as it's the yummiest. I will suggest one to have their lip smacking soulful dishes like vegetable xacuti, steamed fish in banana leaf, goan prawn curry in coconut milk, and their desert serradura. The quantity is well balanced. I just loved the hospitality here. Very friendly and welcoming. One can open the gate of the property and wallah... you'll enter the beach. Pousada by the Beach is one of those rare spots where time just slips away and you don’t even mind. What made my afternoon extra special was that they didn’t play any music; instead, I got to enjoy wholesome Goan food with the soothing sound of the waves in the background. It was pure bliss! The food itself was outstanding – the prawns and calamari in appetizers is full of flavor and easily the best I’ve had, being addictive enough to make you consider ordering a second (or third) round. Every dish felt fresh, authentic, cooked wholeheartedly and their dish service was lightning fast! In desserts, Serradura = love at first bite, heartbreak at the last spoon. Absolutely divine. Neville, the owner, is one of the warmest hosts you’ll meet. He instantly makes you feel at home, and his sons are just as pleasant and attentive, adding to the charm of this family-run restaurant. And then, of course, there are their four dogs – the absolute highlight of the place! Friendly, adorable, and full of personality, they made the whole experience even more memorable. What I also loved was the easy access to a clean and less crowded side of the beach – the perfect spot for walking off the calamari or lying down and admitting defeat. Either way, it's not easy to leave this place. Can’t wait to return! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹1,800–2,000

NEVER VISIT THIS MEDIOCRE PLACE WHERE YOU GET HORRIBLE FOOD.
Actually our dog (shiro) liked the food but vomited there only. Owner ( CHAI) got furious and started yelling at us like a mad person and he started using abusive language. We paid money even our order wasn’t delivered. Maybe owner will get richer by making money like this.

I really feel pity on the owner named CHAI and his family that these guys don’t have courage to take the genuine feedback positively…..they need to grow up and should try to utilise their time in serving good food with good manners instead of taking every negative comment personally. Their weird reply on every negative comment and personal messaging with abusive language shows their mental sickness.
May god give them some wisdom. I am not sure why this restaurant (if it should be called that considering what was served to us can’t be called food) has high ratings. Food was below average and service was pathetic. You’d think they charge highly because they offer something you can’t find elsewhere, but that is not the case! The location is mediocre to begin with, it isn’t like a shack, it’s located offset from the main beach so there’s no “shack-beachy” feeling you come to goa for.
Each and every dish is highly priced which we had no problem paying for considering we knew what the minimum spend was per person when walking in. But the point that arises is whether or not its worth it? A BIG NO. imagine you pay Rs.500 for a milkshake and it’s taste doesn’t match your expectations. This is what your experience will be like over here. Walk a few miles away and you’ll find food 50 times better with a staff that will respect you. There is a difference between price and worth which they really need to learn. We went to Pisco by the beach, prices higher than here, but were so delighted by their services and food that we were happy to pay the bill and tip.
Try telling the owner the same and the response you will get is nothing short of disrespectful. The owner was rude, arrogant and blind to his own issues. He needs to learn the hospitality basics if he wishes to have his joint open for longer. Had it been in my hands I would’ve given negative ratings but there is no option as such. Therefore I write this review to make sure others who read this don’t waste a meal they could’ve had at a lovely place and end up going here. The place will only add to ruining your holiday.
