We visited Pista House and tried the mutton marag, chicken 65, and zafrani biryani. The marag was rich and flavorful, the chicken 65 was perfectly spiced and crispy, and the zafrani biryani had a really nice aroma and taste. Pista House Vanasthalipuram disappoints with its dum chai—lacking flavor and aroma, definitely not worth the hype. Hygiene needs serious attention, and the staff seems indifferent to customer feedback. Overall, not a great experience; there's a lot of room for improvement in quality and service. Disappointing Experience at Vanasthalipuram Pista House(Please don’t visit this branch) We recently visited the Vanasthalipuram branch of Pista House and had a very disappointing experience. We ordered Chicken Lollipops, Chicken Fry Piece Biryani, a single Butter Naan, and a water bottle. To begin with, the Chicken Lollipops were served cold — while the outer flesh was slightly warm, the bone inside was cold as if the pieces had just come out of the fridge. When we raised this with the server, he casually said it became cold because it took time to make the naan — which doesn’t make sense, considering we received our entire order in under ten minutes. Things only got worse with the biryani. We ordered Chicken Fry Piece Biryani, but what we received were two dry, tandoori-like pieces of chicken placed over biryani rice. The chicken felt like leftovers, and the rice wasn’t fresh — it had a strange smell and an off taste. It was honestly the worst biryani we’ve ever tasted, and definitely not what you’d expect from a reputed restaurant like Pista House. To make matters worse, the customer service was unresponsive and dismissive. No apology, no attempt to make up for the bad food — just excuses. This outlet is clearly damaging the reputation of the Pista House brand. Based on our experience, we won’t be visiting again or recommending it to anyone. A big letdown.
