I recently visited Pastel Bloom cafe with high expectations, but unfortunately, my experience was a mixed bag. The cafe's cozy ambiance was a definite plus, but it was overshadowed by the subpar food quality and long waiting time. We ordered the Korean Fried Chicken, but what arrived at our table was a dish that tasted more like Indo-Chinese fusion than authentic Korean cuisine. The absence of gochujang, a fundamental ingredient in Korean cooking, was glaring. It was clear that the kitchen had taken liberties with the recipe, resulting in a dish that was far from authentic. The waiting time was excessive, which added to our frustration. It seemed like the kitchen was struggling to keep up with the orders, which was disappointing. On the positive side, the cafe's cozy atmosphere was a definite plus. The seating area, although compact, was well-designed and comfortable. However, it can get congested quickly, especially during peak hours. Verdict. Overall, I would give 3/5 stars. While it has some redeeming qualities, such as its cozy ambiance, the subpar food quality and long waiting time were major letdowns. Perhaps they need to revisit their recipes and improve their kitchen's efficiency. With some tweaks, Pastel Bloom cafe could potentially become a great spot for foodies.
