Paramount cafe gives that old school Parsi cafe feel which is quintessential when you are roaming around the marine drive in warm morning sun. That feel is the essence of Mumbai. Come here with your gang or even with your date for a laid back breakfast of standard omelette and bun maska with chai or coffee. You would love the ambience if you like old middle eastern vibes. The artefacts around this place are amazing, photos of old Mumbai, artistic map of new Mumbai everything creates the warmth and timelessness of this place. Rates are affordable and the portions are good. This is that sort of place where your company matters. Recommended place if you are around marine drive specially for breakfast. I made my second visit to Paramount, having first visited nearly a decade ago. The place still carries that nostalgic Irani café charm. I tried the kheema pav, which, considering its price, was a bit disappointing, as it contained more peas than kheema. However, the chai, bun maska, and jam provided much-needed comfort, just as I had remembered. A charming, century-old Irani café right opposite Girgaon Chowpatty—Paramount is perfect for chai, bun maska, and a dose of nostalgia. The mutton kheema and caramel custard are absolute highlights. The café offers simple, straightforward cuisine, prompt service, and a nostalgic atmosphere. Prices are very reasonable, but note: it's cash-only, and the washrooms could be better. Over 100 years old—established around 1921—this classic Irani café exudes old-world charm with checkered tablecloths, bentwood chairs, high ceilings, black-and-white flooring, large vintage mirrors, and walls adorned with Bombay-era photos. If you're in the area and yearn for some old Bombay charm, this is a great spot. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
