I don’t even know how to begin to write this review. Perhaps the TL;DR is, best experience ever. 100% worth the wait and money. Better than most Michelin star restaurants around the world without a doubt. My wife and I were super skeptical to visit because of all the hype around the place. But we were blown away from the second we stepped in. The greeted us very warmly. once they asked for our names, it felt like the entire team knew us for a long time. They even picked up within 2 minutes of being there that my wife is left handed and always served her on her left side. The cocktails they make for you when they ask you to describe what flavours you’re carving are bangingggg. But the man attraction is the food. Every single thing is so damn good. The pictures don’t do it justice. I would 100% go again. Not just for the food and drinks but for the way the entire team makes you feel. It’s extremely hard to describe the homeliness, comfort and warmth we felt there over a review. Can’t wait to go again! The whole experience from start to finish deserves 5 stars. We came here for dinner during our annual visit to Mumbai. My wife and I live in London and have been hearing about all the hype around this place. First off, most of the negative reviews for this place generate from people’s experience with their booking system. They have 12 seats, and they have streamlined the booking process to the best of their abilities. There is no scam, there is no bad customer service. You go to any Michelin star dining experience abroad it’s the same. Limited seats and limited availability, you need timing and luck. Now let’s talk about the actual experience. Food is fantastic, the service goes even beyond. Aksha, Madhu, and Kartika interacted with us the most. They were fantastic and made it a night to remember. Ingredients from across India used in a simple yet creative fashion to elevate Indian cuisine that we all love. Thank you, I’ll be back the next time around for the new menu. Among the very best dining experiences in the country. It's fine dining without all the stuffy aspects of fine dining which is definitely refreshing. You walk in and feel right at home. 'Cool friend's living room/speakeasy' is the vibe. We got started at the bar where Harish whips up great conversation and exceptional cocktails. It's hard to make a recommendation when all the drinks are fabulous but the Negroni is among the best I've had and the Espresso Martini acts as the perfect nightcap. The great conversation actually continues through the night. Everyone at Papa's is welcoming and just exceptionally good company and when a restaurant propagates that vibe, you sense it seeping into the diners as well. Of course, none of it would matter if the food wasn't great and thankfully, the food is great. I was sold on the first amuse bouche itself and the meal just got better and better from there. The Bugs Bunny, and Wellington were real standouts but the star of the show was What the duck– I had to restrain myself after the second serving. All in all, if you can manage to get a reservation at Papa's you should– without a second thought. I've been to great restaurants in the country and you can argue about the food all you want but as an overall dining experience, Papa's is second to none.
