This is the most hyped place in Kasol - atmosphere was okayish. Food was very bland - we tried the Alfredo pasta and it only had three small slices of mushroom and a white sauce pasta with mayonnaise. Tried their hot chocolate and cold coffee as well and I would say that it’s not that great. You can go to Evergreen. Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I had a disappointing experience at Panjtara Bar & Grill in Kasol that I feel compelled to share, especially for fellow Indian travelers.
Late at night, when most places had shut down, my friends and I decided to stop by Panjtara to have some dessert. As we entered through the gate, we were stopped by a staff member who informed us that half-pants and basketball shorts are not allowed — which we initially respected as a part of their dress code policy.
However, what happened next was shocking and unacceptable.
We pointed out another customer already inside who was wearing the exact same attire, and when we questioned the inconsistency, we were told plainly that the rule does not apply to foreigners — only to Indians.
Let me be clear: this is not a complaint about a dress code. This is about discrimination based on nationality — and it was openly admitted to us at the door. The fact that such bias exists in our own country, at a place that benefits from the footfall and spending of both domestic and international tourists, is disheartening.
We didn’t escalate the situation at the time because we believe in dignity and self-respect. But the truth should be known. If the establishment wishes to deny this, I am more than willing to share the exact date and time of the incident, and they are welcome to review their own CCTV footage to verify the facts.
To the management: Respect and courtesy should not be based on someone’s passport. Every customer deserves equal treatment, regardless of where they’re from.
I hope this message serves as a wake-up call for Panjtara Bar & Grill — and a heads-up for Indian tourists visiting Kasol.
If you’re visiting the Cambrige and looking for a nearby dining option, Panjtara Bar & Grill is a solid choice. The food is average but reasonably priced, making it a good value for a casual meal. What stands out is the attentive and friendly service, which enhances the overall dining experience. It’s a convenient spot to grab a bite after exploring the town. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
