Chicken Momo - Rs.80 Nalgre Food Corner, Madan Laban, Shillong Chinese Fast Food $$ 04.01.25 Today I had plans of driving towards Mairang but last minute home errands meant that it was getting a little too late & I was hungry. So I quickly checked Google & found a place. I drove up only to find that the restaurant was still celebrating the Holidays for another 2 more days. So I'm back on Google & thankfully found something interesting on my way back home. I also found another place mid way with a name which rang a bell. Nalgre. I remembered there was a guest house in Laban & also in Sohra. I always somehow associated the name with Garo & deep inside was expecting I'd find a good Kappa. I followed Google & it took me to a small road which goes up to the Unitarian Church & the eatery was right in the middle of that slope. I mean I've come up this road since the last 25 years when one uncle shifted his house to Kench's Trace & another to Madan Laban, but never did I once notice it. Perhaps I was too busy maneuvering the car from getting into a spot of bother. Anyway I found a place to park & walked into the restaurant. It was a small place but with decent sitting arrangements. Everything was Chinese in the menu. I was slightly disappointed. The sole worker inside said that snacks were available & would be the quickest. So I ordered a plate of Chicken Momo. The momo were freshly prepared & came after 15mins with a spicy chilly sauce. There were 6 pcs. I took a bite & they were ok. Nothing bad. Filling was decent, except that I wished the wrap was a little thinner. Also I was charged 80 bucks when on the menu it was written 70. Perhaps prices on the menu need to be updated.
