A beautifully done toddy shop where you can experience the charm and authentic flavors of a traditional local toddy shop, presented in a very hygienic way. The setup, featuring a set of thatched roof huts and mist sprinklers, creates a cool and pleasant atmosphere. The curries are excellent, and all the meat and fish are freshly cooked. A must-visit place! You will get nice toddy too. Me and wife had a fine lunch at the new Toddy lounge near Kottayam town. This is a joint venture run by Mr Mookkan and Chef Nalan. On the way, we went through some online reviews and were quite concerned as some reviews mentioned long waiting time and poor service. But we decided to trust the positive reviews and give it a go . Our worries were put to rest as soon as we arrived at the toddy lounge. We were greeted by Chef Nalan personally and he took good care throughout our dining experience. Restaurant has a great ambience induced by the artificial rain showers. Food was great too. We ordered Crab, tapioca, Varal fry and pomfret. Food came within 15 minutes of the order. Overall experience was amazing.
