This restaurant is known for providing Indian cuisine. Food delivery is a big benefit of Mohan Ji Puri Wale. But guests rate this place below average on Google.
I recently visited Mohan Ji Puri Wale and tried both the puri chole and khasta chole. The puri chole was really tasty—crispy puris and flavorful chole made for a satisfying meal. However, I didn’t enjoy the khasta chole as much. It lacked the same freshness and taste. The presentation was nice and the place felt clean. Overall, a good spot if you're craving puri chole in Haridwar, but I’d skip the khasta next time. Service: 3
If you are visiting Haridwar and looking for authentic local street food, then Mohan Ji Puri Wale is a name you simply cannot miss. Located in the bustling lanes of this spiritual city, this iconic eatery has been serving soul-satisfying food for decades and continues to be a local favorite. What We Ordered: We tried their signature Bedmi Puri with Aloo Sabzi, served with kachalu (spiced boiled potato chutney) and tangy kaddu (pumpkin sabzi) on the side. The puris were hot, crispy, and freshly fried — not overly oily — and the sabzi had the perfect balance of spices and flavor. The chutneys added a delicious twist, especially the kachalu one — spicy, tangy, and unforgettable! What We Loved: • Authentic Taste: Pure desi flavors that hit the spot. • Freshness: Everything is made fresh on the spot, including puris. • Speedy Service: Even with long queues, service is quick and efficient. • Local Charm: No frills, just great food served with warmth and tradition. What Could Be Better: • Seating is limited or often shared due to the crowd. • Slightly crowded, especially during peak hours, but that’s a sign of how good the food is! Overall Experience: The experience of eating at Mohan Ji Puri Wale is more than just a meal — it’s a taste of Haridwar’s rich food culture. From locals to tourists, everyone flocks here for a reason. It gives you that nostalgic feel of traditional Indian street food with uncompromised taste and quality. Highly recommended for breakfast or brunch before or after your Ganga ghat visit. Service: 5

I have a fan of this restaurant since 2012 but on my recent visit, after a few months gap, it was simply heart breaking to see the deterioration in the food quality and customer service. Perhaps new ownership or management has taken over but a total disregard towards the quality and presentation of food and basic service needs was absolutely unforgivable, despite a hefty increase in prices. There was not one paper napkin in sight and customers were seen using receipt paper to wipe their hands, with 4 staff members looking on. No steel pitchers and steel glasses on the tables, having been replaced by the flimsiest disposal cups and a help yourself water dispenser (obviously to push beverage sales). The food was luke warm and unfresh and with everything being served out of a buffet set up in the kitchen. No more fresh puris, bhatura and jalebis were visible at the entrance. Even the dosas and noodles were pre-prepared and served damp and coldish. The whole set up was loudly communicating to all customers : “ Bring in your fat wallets and leave your expectations for decent meal out of the door. And while at it, do eat at your own peril.” I apologise for my grumpiness but it truly was a very poor visit and I am still cursing myself for having allowed my young son to consume the food on offer.
