I recently visited Mohan Dhaba in Vaishali for a simple meal and ordered chapatis along with their tadka dal. The chapatis were fresh, soft, and quite enjoyable – probably the highlight of the meal. However, the tadka dal was overly salty and lacked the depth or flavor you'd expect from a good dhaba-style dal. There was hardly any taste of spices or ghee – it felt more like a rushed preparation rather than something made with the love and balance Indian dals are known for. The service was prompt and polite, which I appreciated. The staff handled the order smoothly and ensured everything was served quickly. That said, the ambience leaves much to be desired. The seating area didn’t feel inviting or clean enough for a comfortable meal. Also, the food was served in disposable plastic containers, even for dine-in, which was quite disappointing. Not only does this affect the presentation, but it's also not environmentally friendly – something I believe every eatery should be conscious about today. The owner's behaviour was neutral, neither too welcoming nor rude – just about okay. There is limited parking available – space for about 2-3 cars max, so if you’re visiting during busy hours, it might be tricky. Overall, I’d say Mohan Dhaba is good if you're in the area and just need a quick meal, especially for takeaway. But if you’re looking for an authentic and satisfying North Indian dhaba experience, this place has a lot of room for improvement. Service: Dine in
