I recently visited Mintelaa at Gorky Sadan for breakfast, and while the location has potential, the experience fell short in several areas: 1. Service: Unfortunately, there was no dedicated staff attending to our table. We had to keep calling someone over, which disrupted the flow of the morning. For a place that promotes a laid-back vibe, the lack of basic service really stood out. 2. Hookah Quality: The hookah smoke was quite underwhelming. It lacked the density and richness expected from a lounge-style setup. For hookah lovers, this would be a definite letdown. 3. Ambience & Comfort: The ambience took a major hit due to the non-functional air conditioning. In a city like Kolkata, especially in the morning heat, this can make the entire experience uncomfortable. Overall, Mintelaa might work for a quick hangout if you’re not particular about comfort or service, but it definitely needs improvements in management and maintenance to live up to its promise.
