Not family-friendlyI visited Mike's place restaurant last night with my family, including my 5-year-old child. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing.My child politely asked a staff member named Naresh if we could have a candle on the table. He replied that candles are only for couples and mentioned that the child might break it. The response felt unnecessary and discourteous, especially when addressed to a child. Later, while we were placing our order, my child was holding the cutlery already kept on the table. Another staff member was called and, without any explanation, removed the plate, napkin, and cutlery directly from in front of my child. This was done abruptly and felt inappropriate.When we asked about this behaviour, and said this was not the appropriate way to speak to a child, he responded “This is what we have been told" and added that we should not speak to him in that manner. The response felt dismissive and unprofessional. There was no attempt to explain the situation politely. In fact it seemed he was doing a favor on us.Overall, the experience lacked basic courtesy and sensitivity. Based on this visit, the restaurant does not appear suitable for families with young children.
