Worst Review of Mayur Restaurant (Manali to Delhi Route) A Horrible Stop at Mayur Restaurant: Avoid at All Costs Our journey from Manali to Delhi took a turn for the worse when our Laxmi Holidays bus made a stop at Mayur Restaurant. This experience was nothing short of a nightmare. Key Issues: 1. Driver and Conductor's (Laxmi Holidays)Intentions : - The bus driver and conductor had ulterior motives for stopping here—they were seen enjoying free meals (naan and Punjabi sabji) at the back of the restaurant. This practice of taking advantage of passengers is unethical and disappointing. 2. Rude Owner : - The owner of the restaurant was incredibly rude, showing no regard for customer service. His sole focus was on pushing us to order food quickly before the bus departed. When some of us tried to check the refrigerator for curd, he rudely interrupted us, clearly more interested in selling his overpriced Punjabi thali. Given the hilly journey, many co-passengers were feeling nauseous and simply wanted some curd to settle their stomachs, but the owner's pushy behavior was off-putting. 3. Unsanitary Kitchen Conditions : The worst part was the shocking state of the kitchen. I managed to sneak a peek and saw raw chicken stored right next to vegetarian preparations—an egregious violation of basic hygiene standards. This unsanitary condition is unacceptable for any establishment serving food. 4. Overpriced Items : - Despite the owner's rudeness and the dismal state of the kitchen, I decided to inquire about snacks. I was told that they had tea and curd available. However, the curd was priced at an outrageous 90 Indian rupees—more expensive than a Red Bull! Reluctantly, I purchased it out of necessity. - The prices at Mayur confectionery were a complete rip-off. Cold drinks were priced 10+ rupees higher than the maximum retail price. They also didn't have any useful items like packets of chips, instead selling all sorts of useless things. This tactic forces customers to opt for their iconic Punjabi thali, which is far from suitable for a mountain journey. In summary, Mayur Restaurant is a terrible place to stop. The unethical practices of the bus staff, the rude owner, unsanitary kitchen conditions, and exorbitant prices make it a place to avoid. I strongly urge travelers to seek better alternatives on this route. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: ₹1–200 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
