I recently visited Mauli Dhaba, Belagavi for lunch and had a very disappointing experience. I ordered Mushroom Masala and 3 Rotis, but the food quality was far below expectations. • Food Quality & Hygiene: • The Mushroom Masala had barely any mushroom pieces just a bowl of overly spicy, salty red gravy. • The rotis were decent, but the onions and lemons served were pre-cut and left uncovered for hours in an unhygienic manner. • A large uncovered pickle container was also kept nearby, which was quite unappetizing. • Hygiene & Cleanliness: • The restaurant environment was unhygienic lights and fans were not working properly, making it extremely uncomfortable inside the iron shed, especially in the afternoon heat. • The kitchen was visible from the seating area and was in poor condition, lacking cleanliness and proper maintenance. • The washbasin area was filthy and had a strong stench, indicating it hadn’t been cleaned for years. • Staff & Service: • The staff were untrained and lacked knowledge of the menu. • Basic food hygiene standards were not maintained—the refrigerator was dirty and packed with unorganized utensils and vegetables, visibly neglected for a long time. • The staff’s clothing was stained and appeared unwashed for months, which added to the overall unpleasant dining experience. Overall, Mauli Dhaba seriously needs to improve food quality, hygiene, and staff training. It was once a good place, but now it has become pathetic in terms of cleanliness and food standards. Would not recommend it unless major improvements are made. 1/5 stars. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
