Visited this place last night only because the new restaurant opposite had a long waiting line, so we thought we’d just have here as usual. It was completely empty on a Friday night, and now I understand why. We asked for a table inside near the dastarkhaan, one of the managers said it was available and told us to go ahead. The moment we sat down, a bald senior manager (I assume) barged in and rudely asked, “Kon bheja andar? Oting hai, oting hai.” I had no idea what that even meant, just some ridiculous jargon with an even worse attitude. He then asked us to leave because apparently “oting” meant “reserved.” First of all, if that area was reserved, the staff shouldn’t have sent us in. Second, there’s a basic way to speak to customers. I used to be a regular here for years, and even after renovating the entire space, they’ve forgotten the most important element of hospitality, respect. No surprise the place has been struggling for years. A new ambience won’t fix a bad experience. They need a staff revamp, not just décor. Do not recommend visiting. Most of the new seating is either not operational or apparently “oting”, whatever that’s supposed to mean. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

"I recently had the pleasure of dining at Markaz Restaurant- Jogeshwari, and I must say it was a truly delightful experience. The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was greeted with a warm and welcoming ambiance that immediately put me at ease. The service was top-notch, with attentive and courteous staff who were always ready to help with any queries or requests I had. The menu offered a wide variety of options, and I decided to try their signature dish, the Chicken Tikka Masala, which did not disappoint. The chicken was tender, juicy, and full of flavor, cooked to perfection in a rich and creamy sauce. The accompanying Tandoori Roti was soft, fluffy, and perfectly cooked, making it a perfect pairing with the Chicken Tikka Masala. However, I was a bit disappointed with the Butter Rumali Roti, which was dry and lacking the softness and fluffiness I had expected. Despite this, the overall taste and quality of the food were exceptional, and I would definitely recommend giving it a try. The ambiance of the restaurant was also noteworthy, with a beautiful and elegant decor that added to the overall dining experience. The outdoor seating area was particularly lovely, with a pleasant view and a cozy atmosphere. All in all, I had a fantastic time at Markaz Restaurant, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great dining experience. The food, service, and ambiance were all top-notch, and I would definitely be back for more. In particular, I would like to commend the chef on the Chicken Tikka Masala and Tandoori Roti, which were both delicious and expertly prepared. I would also suggest that they work on improving the Butter Rumali Roti, as it was the only disappointing part of an otherwise excellent meal. Overall, I would give Markaz Restaurant 5 stars out of 5, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to dine. Keep up the good work, and I look forward to my next visit!"
