We recently visited a restaurant that specializes in Rajasthani-style cuisine and decided to try both their chicken curry and mutton curry. While the flavors were decent and the curries had that signature Rajasthani touch—rich with spices and a good hit of heat—we couldn’t help but notice that both dishes tasted almost exactly the same. The gravies for the chicken and mutton were identical in taste, texture, and spice profile, which made the experience a bit underwhelming. We were expecting each dish to offer something unique, especially given the different meats. It felt like the same base curry was used for both, with only the protein swapped. That said, the service was good, and the ambiance had a nice rustic Rajasthani charm. But if you’re someone who enjoys variety and distinct flavors in your dishes, you might want to try different items on the menu instead of ordering multiple curries.
