If you are looking for authentic Kerala flavors, Mallu Stories is a gem that hits the spot. It’s a casual dining space with a lively, bustling energy - so don’t expect a quiet, fine-dining vibe, but do expect incredible food!Food:Thalassery Dum Biryani: Easily the star of the show. It was excellent and honestly the best I’ve had outside of Kerala. The aroma and the short-grain rice were spot on.Kizhi Porotta: Really delicious and packed with flavor. A must-try!Kothu Porotta: This was quite nice, though it was a bit "wetter" than what I usually prefer. It would have been perfect if it were slightly drier and flakier, but the taste was still there.Sweet Lime Soda: A lovely, refreshing way to wash down the spices.Snacks:I couldn't resist taking some snacks home. The Pazhampori (Banana Fritters), Undampori, and even the Cream Bun were all excellent - fresh and nostalgic.Tips :The Wait: We visited on a weekend and the wait was quite long. However, once the food arrived, it was well worth the patience.Parking: Finding a spot can be a struggle as it is street parking only. I'd recommend arriving early or using a cab if possible.Service: Despite the crowd, the service was good and the staff stayed on top of things.
