Every time I visit Vaishno Devi, Madhuban Stavik Restaurant near the Katra bus stand is my go-to place for dinner. It's located right in the main market, making it convenient for pilgrims and visitors alike. The ambiance is pleasant, with a peaceful vibe—ideal after a long Yatra. They have ample seating space on both the ground floor and first floor, and if you're feeling tired, the upper floor is a great spot to relax and enjoy a calm dinner. The food is usually excellent, and that’s what keeps bringing me back. This time, though, I found it a bit average compared to my past visits—but still decent overall. The service is quick, staff is polite, and the menu offers a good variety. Pricing is reasonable—not too cheap, but not overpriced either. A nice surprise was their in-house bakery. Since we were there on my anniversary, I picked up a cake from their counter, and it turned out to be fresh and tasty—a sweet ending to the day. All in all, a dependable vegetarian restaurant in Katra with consistent quality and a comforting atmosphere. Still a solid 4 out of 5 for me. The place is situated in the main market area...3 mins walk from the Jewels...The food was great...I tried the veg manchow soup...the taste was good can try this one, Tangy cottage sizzler....the paneer was super soft almost melting in mouth ,chilly ginger fried rice was great ...The quantity is slightly less for group of 3 ...but they are priced less accordingly so each dish I tried can be shared by 2 people.....For desserts we had choco lava..can try or skip this one ...it was not bad but I have had better. They have wide variety of dessert options like cakes , donut,lassi,gulab jamun rabdi available. They did have a various options in Indian menu though couldn't try them will surely visit in future for them whenever I go to Vaishnodevi. The hygiene standards were great as the place was cleaned fast as soon as the guests left to.The decor was nice and they had a open glass window for the kitchen area which is great. One thing I wasn't a fan of was the service it was very slow...it could be cause of the rush ..but they do need to work on it.I had to call the server multiple times to ask if the order was ready and every time they said they would get it in 5 mins and it took 15 mins...so the sizzler took nearly 25-30 mins..a faster service could be more appreciated. Overall you can visit it if you are looking for good food options in Katra near main market place. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Definitely a "NO" to this place if you are looking for tastier food options as there are lots of more tastier food options available in the Katra. The reviews here have just created hype and people are getting attracted due to this. We have tasted Paneer Angara, Roti and Masala Dosa. Paneer Angara did not have any taste. Masala Dosa was very simple and not well cooked. We only liked the atmosphere and hygiene of this place which is notable. The variety of food available in their menu is quite impressive and this place always remains packed with the people. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 5
