Visited this MTR outlet in the evening on 1st Jan. It occupies a full 5th floor of the building. A high, terracotta tile ceiling with skylight opening gives it an open, airy and traditional character. The seating is done well with ample space between tables and presence of plants add greenery and warmth. It was sparsely crowded at the time of visit, so felt calm and quiet. The service was quick and attentive. We ordered rava dosa and onion dosa; vegetable kurma served with dosa was yumm. The staff were kind and accomodating to prepare dosa with less ghee. The filter coffee was good as usual. The restaurant has washrooms available, although handwash area requires better upkeep. Overall, this outlet continues to hold old Bangalore charm amidst rapidly changing surroundings with newly popping cafes and serves consistently good south indian cuisine. Very poor attitude from staff. We keep sitting for 15 and they walk pass by without taking order. Then when asked why is the delay the reply is very rude wait for some more time. The charges already sky rocketing 60 rs for single idly which was served cold probably made a few hours ago so was the vada. They have only grown in terms of brand name but failed at hospitality miserably. Really disappointed With MTR JP Nagar outlet

We tried masala dosa and rava idli at MTR JP Nagar and the taste was average at best. I was particularly put off by the hygiene standards and the attitude of the waiters, which were both quite disappointing. The restaurant has lost its charm compared to our last visit when they served the best masala dosa. Now it simply isn't the same taste anymore and I wouldn't recommend this location.
