What: Tandoori prawns, chicken biriyani, garlic naan, butter naan, cheese garlic naan, kulcha, patiyala chicken, paneer butter masala, mutton gosh, Tandoori chicken half, Punjabi Beer, Kulhad di Lassi
Wallet thinned by: Rs. 1700 (Individual prices in the bill pic)
Happened to join a new workplace in Kandanchavadi few days back and wanted to try out the food joints there. Have seen this Dhabba en route office and decided to make a visit with my dear friends.
Food: All the items tasted good, cannot say delicious though.
-----The Tandoori prawns got over in less than a minute, sooo less was the quantity (maybe around 15 small pieces). Tasted quite good with the smoky flavor
-----All the bread items were burnt on one side, didn't complain as it didn't taste bad.
-----Patiyala chicken was a creamy chicken dish with two pieces and it tasted 60% similar to butter chicken. Mindvoice: Patiyala ya pant dhane da, chicken la yum andha variety iruka
-----Paneer butter masala tasted too good with the soft paneer pieces
-----Mutton Gosh, there were around 4 chunks of well cooked meat but the curry was too thin, not suitable for breads
-----Chicken biriyani, you must be wondering what is this doing among its North India counterpart. Yes, I wanted to see what happens when two states meet it didn't work out good sorry Chetan Bhagat, not every combination is a success story biriyani was a typical military style spicy variant with two well cooked meat pieces
-----Kulhad Di Lassi, a normal Lassi served in a stainless steel tumbler, tasted good but the name didn't do justice
-----Punjabi Beer, asked the guys what is this about. They told its a sour, spicy, salty, and a refreshing drink. So ordered one (First time getting myself a beer). Any guesses what it is? Buttermilk! Yes, it is buttermilk served in a beer bottle Mindvoice: naa adhuku (beer) seri pattu vara maaten nu ungalakku kuda therinji pocha
Ambience: I really loved their setup, with wooden chairs and tables, art work, tires hungup on the wall etc. Please check the pics to have a look at it. But the AC wasn't working when we visited, maybe an one-off incident, not sure. Accommodates around 20ppl at a time.
Service: All items arrived in less than 20mins and the guys were patient enough to explain what each dish was without a fuss.
VFM: 3.5/5
Ambience: 4/5

Being a regular visitor it hurts when the quality is drastically reduced. Need to wait around 20 mins on average for a seat and then another extra 20 mins for food. Chicken lalipop served by them is wrost in the market .

Like the name of the resturant and its theme is also Punjaabi... Ambience was good... it has a very good menu... we tried Rotis, parathas with Sarson ka saag, paneer burji and special n sweet lassi.. we tried only veg items but all items are good.... place was well maintained and managed... service was good... only problem was it is very small restuarant, if it is already occupied then we need to wait for some time... But I promise "It is good to wait for the food and ambience n mood created at that place..." Quantity of the food served is less when compared to other restaurants.
