Little Chef used to be an excellent bakery during my school days. But now there are lots of bakeries in Shillong which are equally good. The prices here are slightly higher as compared to the other bakeries especially the pastries. Last time, I packed many snacks and pastries to and I was shocked to see their packaging. Their had simply packed it in the brown paper. I told them I had to give it to someone can they pack it properly. They showed me different sizes of cake boxes and since I had no option I took it anyways. They charged me for that too. They should seriously work on their packaging, it's funny how they charge even for the packaging box. In other cities, they don't charge you for the box or the packet. The service is horrible and the staff are super rude especially to non locals but I've learnt to put up with it. The food overall is very mediocre (some items are amazing, some taste horrible) but I go here for some specific items (custard pastry, muffins, chicken items). I absolutely love their custard puff pastry. Also, they actually generously put chicken in their chicken patties and other chicken items unlike all the other bakeries I've visited. The cream pastries are not so good in quality. The puff pastries are delicious but most of them taste the same. You gotta choose your battles in this bakery. Worst Food Experience. Bad Taste. Bad oil used for frying simple veg spring rolls. Pav bhaji was worst. And instead of cheese they use mayonnaise in there cheese burgera. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
