    Lucknow gets listed in UNESCO for its yummy gastronomical food,being only the 2nd Indian city after Hyderabad to get that honour.Its time for foodies like us to celebrate the city popular joints even more. A few days ago wen to the popular LALLA Biryani @Chaupatiya Lucknow,after a gap. The term "Biryani" always has had more than its share of debates.Firstly the origin of Biryani always generates debate,then the pulav vs Biryani debate and then Hyderabadi vs Avadhi debate.To add to these debates is another one in Lucknow that whose Biryani is best . I am anyways avoiding all these debates being a true foodie rather than a critic! The small shop in the congested lanes of Chaupatiya has been very popular since decades now for its mutton biryani.Now they have added a sitting area in another shop nearby.The owner Lalla doesnt sit daily and it's his sons who mostly operate the shop now. The shop begins serving Biryani after 4 pm(only for few hours) and there are fans who were waiting even before that in the sitting area. Finally after a long wait the lid of the Biryani giant pot opened and piping hot biryani was served. The rice was fine and the mutton pieces as always were very tender and juicy which is their USP.They also serve raita and chopped onion,but even without it the biryani has just the apt light spicy variation which is signature in Lucknow biryani.A yummy meal!!
