Lunch vegetarian thali at 'The Konkan Cafe' is pretty good. With good traditional taste, they do a good job with food preparations offered in thali. The ambiance of the place is good, earthy, and traditional, suiting the cuisine vibe. Service is at par considering it functions inside a Hotel. I could see more regulars/old-timers visiting the place; maybe they should do more marketing for newbies to explore this place. Overall, a good experience. We went first tîme to Konkan cafe and we were highly disappointed. Did not find any konkan taste to take home. Very average food. Watery curries. And exorbitantly priced. Bill came to 9000 Rs. Thé appams were great but did not have any yummy curries. Théy have unlimited veg and non veg thali but it needs to be delicious to want more. I won’t recommend or go back there. Hôtel is great.
