This place is our family's lifeline when we are in doubt about where to go for an evening snack. I fell in love with Bengali sweets after this place happened to me. Each and every sweet is great here. My personal favourite is this sweet with some thick white toppings on it- I regret not remembering the name... But it's simply mouth watering. You feel euphoric after a single bite.
The chaats here are also really good- with the channa samosa, bhelpuri and paani puri stealing the show.
To conclude, this place is the only reason why I don't mind eating chaats.
Keep going guys!!
Even though it is a few seconds away from home, I avoid maximum going here. Bad place even to hang out. Please avoid this place! Bad food coupled with poor ambiance, it is a big no. I hardly even see people going in. Wonder how they are still up and running.
Been to Kolkata mithai a couple of times. Their pani puri, the reason for my first visit to this place, isn't as great as the one at gangotri but it doesn't disappoint you. I recommend their dahi puri. And yes, do try their aloo paranthas. Good in a lot of ways, it is the best I have had so far in chennai. The place somehow reminds you of the way chat is made at home. It doesn't give the impression of an out-n-out commercial eatery. Pocket friendly n yum, I think I am going to continue savouring their chats in the future too :)
