I recently visited Kokanatale Sawant Restaurant and tried their Surmai Thali. It was a delightful culinary experience that truly brought the flavors of coastal Maharashtra to life. The Surmai was perfectly cooked, with a fresh and tender texture. The traditional Kokani masala gave it a rich and aromatic flavor, beautifully balancing spice and tanginess. The thali came with a variety of sides: a flavorful sol kadhi, fragrant steamed rice, soft chapatis, and a prawns curry that was an absolute highlight. The accompanying sukat chutney added an extra zing to the meal. The ambiance creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was excellent. The staff was attentive and ensured we had everything we needed. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided helpful recommendations. The Kokani Surmai Thali was reasonably priced, given the quality of the food and the generous portions. It’s a must-try for seafood lovers who enjoy authentic regional flavors. Overall Thali impressed me with its authentic flavors and impeccable service. The Kokani Surmai Thali is a dish I’d highly recommend for anyone looking to savor a true taste of coastal cuisine.
