I recently dropped by New Kitchen King II (also known as Kitchen King Two) near the Registry Office on Itinda Road, and it was a surprisingly pleasant experience. If you’re in Basirhat and looking for a spot that balances good food with a nice atmosphere, this is definitely one to consider. The first thing that struck me was the location. They have this lovely riverside balcony overlooking the Ichamati, which provides such a peaceful, breezy vibe—perfect for a relaxed evening meal. The interior is clean, neat, and far more "family-friendly" than many other local joints. Coming to the food, their Chicken Lollipops, chicken and mutton biryani, mutton kasha and Chilli Chicken are absolute winners—crispy, flavorful, and served in generous portions. I also tried their Chicken Fried Rice and Kosha combo, which was quite a steal for the price. The food quality is consistently high, and the spices don't feel overwhelming. The staff deserves a shout-out too; they were polite and the service was reasonably quick even with a decent crowd. One minor tip: if you're visiting on a weekend evening, it can get a bit busy, so try to snag that balcony seat early! It’s easily one of the most value-for-money spots in town with a view that you just can't beat.
