A bit overhyped and over priced restaurant which is mainly visited by tourists near cochin airport. Known for seafood and regular meals. Tried regular meals and king fish fry (neymeen fry). Fish fry was tawa roasted and it was good. Curries which came with meals were bland. Sarbath (nannari lemon) is a must try. Enough parking is there . Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: ₹200–400 Food: 4 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

Food: Great; Ambience/comfort: Poor. Wanted to try Karthiyayini on my visit to Kerala to see if it was worth the Instagram hype. Pleased to write that the food was amazing. Seafood specials we tried were delicious - chemballi, nayimeen and tiger prawns all were nicely prepared. Meals served with veggie sides and meen/chemmeen charu was also good. Would recommend eating here. One thing I would like to highlight here is the subpar ambience and comfort. The Nedumbassery location is a home converted into a restaurant, with some of the rooms, including the patio serving as dining halls. Major issue is the absence of temperature control. None of the rooms have AC and thus are extremely hot thanks to Kerala weather. We got seated at the open patio and it was even worse! This was in January so can’t even imagine what it would be like in peak summer. With what is charged for food here they could have easily invested in a few ACs and covered patio (our family of 4 paid ~ Rs. 4000). I will recommend Karthiyayini, just maybe not this location at this time.
