I visited this restaurant last evening with friends and cousins, drawn by its reputation for ambiance. While the setting was indeed pleasant, the overall experience was far from satisfactory due to poor food quality and subpar service. Firstly, the hygiene left much to be desired. The plates were not properly washed and gave off a strong, unpleasant fishy odor. The service was equally disappointing. The waiter was unprofessional, displaying rude behavior without any provocation. He appeared to be overburdened and frustrated, even shouting at someone during our visit. As for the food, it was a letdown. We ordered Appam, but it neither tasted nor felt like traditional Appam—it resembled Dosha in flavor. The Kappa we received was cold and tasted spoiled, making it inedible. The Kakka Fry was another disappointment, with only two or three small pieces of shellfish buried in an excess of coconut flakes. The Chicken Fry was undercooked, and while the Beef and Porotta were just passable, they didn’t make up for the other failures. Thankfully, we canceled the Fish Pollichathu after seeing the quality of the other dishes, saving ourselves both money and disappointment. While the ambiance might be worth experiencing, I strongly advise against dining here. The poor hygiene, rude service, and substandard food make it a place to avoid if you're looking for a satisfying meal.
