During my father's 12-day hospitalization at Fortis Hospital Greater Noida, my mother and I stayed nearby. Initially, we tried the hospital canteen, expecting it to be a more hygienic and convenient option. Unfortunately, the food was overpriced and the taste left much to be desired. With limited choices, we decided to step out and try Kalpam Café and Restaurant, located right opposite the hospital’s main gate. Little did we know, this would turn out to be one of the best decisions we made during those challenging days. From the very first meal, Kalpam impressed us with its freshly made, hot, and delicious food. The soft, fresh rotis and comforting flavors were a refreshing relief after a stressful day at the hospital. It quickly became our go-to destination for every meal during our stay. Every dish we tried was excellent, but here are some personal favorites: Butter Paneer Masala, Shahi Paneer, Soya Chaap Masala, and Matar Paneer. For my 75-year-old mother, I preferred lighter dishes, and these were ordered often: Paneer Bhurjee, Dal Fry, Aloo Jeera, Tandoori Roti, Tawa Roti, and Plain Rice. In snacks, Chole Bhature was a must-try, along with Whole Wheat Kulche, Paneer Pakora, Mix Pakora, Bread Pakora, Samosa, and the Paneer Paratha, which was so generously portioned that one was enough for two people and very budget-friendly. Though I’m not a tea enthusiast, their Masala Tea was exceptional—we ended up ordering it every time we dined there. The restaurant is clean, well-maintained, and has a warm, welcoming vibe. The prices are economical, making it an ideal option for those seeking quality food on a budget. What stood out the most was the hospitality. The restaurant owners and staff were incredibly friendly, accommodating, and attentive. They made us feel at home during a difficult time, leaving us with fond memories of their kindness and service. I regret not taking photos of the food to share, but the flavors and experience remain unforgettable. This is not a paid review; it’s written out of genuine appreciation for the outstanding food, hygiene, ambience, and hospitality at Kalpam Café and Restaurant. If you’re near Fortis Hospital Greater Noida or simply looking for delicious and affordable vegetarian food, I wholeheartedly recommend this gem of a place.
